Scene at the Railway Platform
The scene at a Railway Station just before the arrival of the train is very charming. The people in their gay dresses in queues. They buy tickets or Platform tickets. Many cars, scooters, taxi es, and rickshaws stand parked outside.
Everyone seems to be in a hurry. The coolies carry the luggage of the babus. People sit in large groups. Some play at cards. The others read newspapers, chat, smoke or sit idle. There is a great rush at the inquiry office.
The hawkers sell eatables. The railway station looks full of life and activity. The crowd swells. People pick up their luggage’s on seeing the train coming. All the discussion and quarrels come to an end.
